A ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity. Pure copper is rather soft and malleable and when fresh has a pinkish or peachy colour.

It is used as a thermal conductor, an electrical conductor, and used in building materials with the construction industry being the second largest user in areas of pipes, heating and ventalation as well as electrical wire.
